Covid-19 and the re-commencement of club meetings
Bury St Edmunds Model Railway Club re-opened the Club to it's members on Thursday 13th August. It was a very limited opening and was a staged opening, working from Step One to Step Four - with the latter being a full opening for our Members. Government Guidelines and our own Risk Assessment setting the parameters for each stage.
Until we reach Step Four we will be unable to welcome visitors to the Club.
The time between each Step is as yet unknown and will depend on Government guidelines.

Welcome to the Bury St Edmund's Model Railway Club
All model railway enthusiasts, of all levels and interests are most welcome.
Club Nights are held weekly on Thursdays between 7.30pm and 10.30pm and Tuesdays (by arrangement).

We are proud that our club celebrated its 70th Anniversary in 2019.
The Club was inaugurated in March 1949 as a model engineering society and has gone from strength to strength, currently boasting a membership of some 40 souls.
By way of celebrations, we had a fantastic day at the North Norfolk Railway and held our biggest (thus far) annual model railway exhibition

Room 1
Members planning work on the large OO and N Gauge layouts.
Both layouts are "work in progress". The OO layout is quite an old layout and is having a massive facelift.

Cobbolds Wharf Update
Cobbolds Wharf our Scale 7 layout is progressing well despite the Corona Virus / social distancing issues, which means that only a couple of people can work on the layout at any time.
