PRESENT DAY CLUB

It is with sadness to say that although the club has reached its 75th anniversary it probably will soon be without a home!

The present farm venue we are now in will soon be coming up for sale due to the sad loss of its owner,who was also our Honorary President and Landlady, and fortunately also model railway friendly. So we wait the outcome of this sale and are now urgently seeking a new home.

Despite all this turmoil we will remain an actively working club and always interested in hearing from new members with a keen interest in model railways of all gauges and periods. Click here to enquire about joining us.

BUT ON THE BRIGHTER SIDE

The club will be celebrating its 75th anniversary with The Great East Anglian Cathedral Model Railway Show on the 28th September 2024.
The venue is St Edmundsbury Cathedral, Angel Hill, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk IP33 1LS
It promises at least 19 working layouts of various gauges and 11 trade stands (at the time of this post) and demonstrations from Model Behaviour (I’m looking forward to that one!)

Then a month later the most eminent of Ambassadors to the hobby Mr. Pete Waterman will be spending an evening of talk at the Ravenwood Hotel, Rougham, Bury St Edmunds after a three course meal. Places may still be available for the information see our poster below.
